Manes and Duran

Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are the attackers who lashed out on the Columbine School killing 13 people and injuring 23 including killing themselves. So, how did they get the assault rifles to lash out this massacre? It was from a 22 year old man named Mark Manes. He sold the boys the gun in late February and there are reports that the three actually went shooting together after the guns were purchased. So how did they not get caught then? Upon buying the guns, the three then went to the Tanner Gun Show in Denver, Colorado. Manes admitted that he had no idea what Harris and Klebold planned to do with the guns. He actually felt bad and was willing to answer any questions. A little suspicious, right? After the massacre was lashed out by the two, Manes was then arrested and faced up to four years in prison. Manes also admitted that he never asked the two boys what they planned to do with the guns and they never told him what their plans were after the purchase. Well, you could see how this could cause suspicion in the court’s eyes. Furthermore, Manes said that their Blackjack driver introduced the three to the show. This driver goes by the name of Philip Duran who did not face charges after the shooting. It seemed that he had fled the seen however, because when police came to investigate there were no signs of Duran at his home. Reports show that Manes purchased the gun from a private seller by the name of Larry Russell, but since he was a private seller, they could not require a background check to be done. To this day it is still a mystery as to whether Manes and Duran knew the plan that Harris and Klebold had and we may never know.
