Why Could 170 Million People Die From Water

After carefully reading Matt Waeckerle's post about Fluoride, Matt argues that it can lower ones children IQ tremendously. But this conspiracy can go a lot further than just the lowering of the IQ.

With so many people in America thinking that there was Communist everywhere they looked, and everything that occurred in the daily life, had some effect with Communism. One of the most bizarre conspiracy ideas is that Communist were poisoning the water supply affecting millions of Americans.

In 1945, Grand Rapids, Michigan, was the first United States cities to make the switch to put Fluoride into their water system.

Why the switch? Well Fluoride (in the right amount) is good for the health of your teeth, by reducing the amount your teeth decay.

One of the leading conspiracy theories at that time was that the Communist mad the push for the United States to make the change to put Fluoride in the water. When Right-Winged conspiracy theorist  heard about this, they started a nation wide panic that the Communist Reds were putting poison in the water and hiding it in Fluoride. There are also stories at the time that there were people also getting sick at that time period.

With a nation wide paranoia about if the Communist poisoned the water or not, made many people of that time think twice about drinking water. But is this theory fact or fiction.

Like Matt said in his article, people who are scared by Communist, or are trying to twist a story to make them look better or make them look like there are on to something, will always change the story to make them look smart. I think that this is the case for this myth, but I would agree that in the right dosage that Fluoride can cause harm, and even death, but with so little Fluoride in the water system, it did not affect anyone's health.
