Military Industrial Complex- Ike's Fear Part 1

When President Dwight D. Eisenhower (Ike) left the White House on January 17, 1961 he warned the American People of the Military Industrial Complex. Ike understood that the Military needed to uphold the balance of armament to deter the Soviet union. He knew that the "Bomb" was power, but he also knew that the looming contractors that won contracts to build weapons poised a great threat to the American Finical plan of the future. The president also warned of the idea that if Americans only thought of the present time their would be no tomorrow for our children. He addressed that in relation to the thought of the environment. So I bring the idea of the military industrial complex because when we look at what President Ike warned about and all the wars the have since preceded the President, we must ask our selves about what he warned about as a conspiracy and what americans have yet to see as a looming problem. In this blog post today am going to leave certain questions in your mind. In the last four major conflicts how much money has the U.S. spent on military equipment, in those wars how much of that equipment was left to rot in the country or left to scraped?  In todays conflict how many years has the U.S. been engaged in armed conflict? Keep these questions in your mind for part 2.
