The Largest Right Wing Militia Group in America

Throughout the United States, there is a group of people known as the Three Percenters, the largest active militia group operating with different chapters in different states with around 10,000 members. across the country. This short film shows the Georgia chapter and interviews different members about what the Three Percent is, what it is they exactly do and why they do it. (Link to the video is attached below.)
The idea behind the Three Percent Militia is rooted in the American Revolution. It is said that only 3% of the American Colonists took up arms to fight the British during the revolution and the idea of the modern Three Percent group is to follow that patriotism and help ensure that the United States Constitution is upheld. Members state that they are not anti-government like most media portrays them to be, they are anti-tyrannical-government. They have appointed themselves as the protectors of constitutional amendments, especially the 2nd Amendment, the right to bear arms. However, they do not limit themselves to only the 2nd Amendment, a major argument for the group if the right to possess a weapon is taken away by the government, what would stop them from taking away the freedom of speech or religion or press?
The video takes place during one of their monthly training exercises when they go out into the field and conduct dangerous live fire exercises. Members are not full time warriors however, most of them have normal jobs to pay for their families and their everyday expenses. The are always prepared to take action if a crisis occurs but they are not limited to being everyday warriors. Some, not all, have military or law enforcement experience, they use that knowledge and train other members on various shooting techniques, patrolling, hand-to-hand combat and other survival techniques. The group's rank structure is also based off of military and law enforcement rank structure with newer members starting at a lower rank such as a pvt or cpl all the way up to senior leaders being called generals.
When most people think of right-wing conservatives they associate them with being extremely conservative, which is mostly true, and associates them with being a racist group, which is contradicted in the video. Interviewees argue against the fact that they are accused of racism and openly accept people of color in the organization. However they do openly oppose Islam and do associate the Islamic faith as being on of the factions of good vs evil.
After watching this video, it gives the viewer a different view on a group of people that have a very strong belief in the constitutional rights of all Americans, not only the right to possess firearms, but also the rights that all Americans hold dear such as speech, press and religion that are taken for granted everyday. They understand that there may never be a crisis in their lifetime but the main objective of the group is preparedness for disaster and defense against threats both foreign and domestic. They want to be able to pass on these skills to their children so that these beliefs do not die out in future generations.

Would this group be classified as a secret society? Or is membership fairly easy to obtain?

It sounds like they would do anything to maintain their rights, would they go against the government if the government happened to infringe on their basic rights? Do they openly recruit people or is it just people that seek out to be in the group, or is it by generations only?
