Lyndon B. Johnson: A Presidential Assassin?
There are plenty of conspiracy theories revolving around the John F. Kennedy assassination, each with its own unique contributions. One of the most abstract and shocking theories, however, is the theory that the person who assassinated President Kennedy was Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson. As much of a surprise as this is, it has fair reasoning behind it. People may ask, "why would the Vice President assassinate the President?" Although they were colleagues, Vice President Johnson may have desired the power of being President and thought that taking out his colleague JFK could be a simple and direct pathway to the office of President of the United States. Johnson likely knew that he would not be blamed for the assassination of Kennedy since he was so close to him, and this motive is nearly foolproof. Why would anyone think to blame Johnson for the murder? It would be seemingly outrageous to frame the vice president for a presidential assassination, but after further investigation, there is reasoning for the theory.
