Alien Probing

Alien Probing

One distinct part of an alien’s interaction with middle America has to be the fascination with the anus. Alien abuse has been seen in copious news media from parodies like South Park to personal accounts, books, and podcasts. Stories of alien abduction involving rectal investigation have seemingly been around since the book Communion came out in 1987.  Anal probing in abduction stories is almost so established that it seems to be almost glossed over when thinking about modern day abduction stories. Prior to 1987, most if not all reports seem to have had nasal probing as a part of the abduction, not rectal, which brings an interesting perspective as to why these events started to become integral to the abduction phenomenon. Another interesting take is on the conflict involving the timelines for alien interactions with humanity.  So, if aliens built stone henge, the pyramids, and built up all these monumental nations in the Middle East and the Americas, why would there ever be a need to have an anal probe on numerous abductees? What kept ancient aliens from doing such tests in the past? For a species that possibly bent space and time in order to make contact, why would there be a need for something as medieval as an anal probe in the first place? The theories are endless as to why these aliens need to inspect the rectum, but there are two main reasons. One main reason comes from the idea that the aliens are trying to collect as many fecal samples as possible to determine how humans digest and find energy in food. Another reason, though specifically for males, is the idea that they are trying to stimulate a spot in the prostate in order to have an artificial orgasm as a means to better understanding human reproductive systems. While both seem extremely far-fetched, the alien probe event still is a staple in numerous alien abduction stories. For numerous skeptics, the main reasoning behind alien probing in alien abduction stories is that the stories are made up, and to create and generate popularity in the story there needs to be buzz words and consistency. This idea would explain why all stories start to sound similar after one story hits the mainstream hard. When looking for the change in stories from nasal to anal probing the book Communion seems to be the turning point for alien abduction accounts. But, what about all the people who seriously believe that they had an actual experience with aliens? There is a hypothesis stated in Psychology Today that alien abduction conspiracy theories and stories stem from the Freudian idea of wish fulfillment in dreams. The idea is that when an individual dreams, there is less control on repressed ideas or thoughts, leading to experiences in sleep that would include meeting aliens through abduction and going through a probing, if wish fulfillment included alien contact.  It would explain why the people abducted feel an experience of hypnosis while they are being “abducted.” This would also explain why most if not all abductions happen during the evening hours, and some have the feeling of waking up after an abduction. Alien anal probing most likely rose up as a product of copy catting other popular accounts for publicity. In order to believe that aliens actually probe humans in such a way there must be a belief that such alien contact actually exists, and with such interesting leaps of faith and logic that come as a result from these abductions it would take a great amount of faith to believe in any of these stories or accounts.
