CIA's Drug Trafficking

As our group have talked about previously, war is huge in financial conspiracies because war opens up many opportunities for financial benefits; i.e. the war on terror was used just to gain a hand on oil exports in the Middle East. Another war that seemed to benefit a financial cause was the "War on Drugs" in Mexico in the 1980s. There are similarities between the War on Drugs and the War on Terror because there is not one group of people to focus on. During the war on terror, the United States went to war in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, etc. But it seemed pointless because no matter what, there will always be terror, no matter where you are. The War on Drugs seemed even more pointless because it is virtually impossible to fight the use of drugs. So, the United States decided that Mexico, Cuba, and Columbia were the places they wanted to target to stop drug trafficking.
During these times, former CIA agents claimed that the United States were successful in "capturing" many weapons and drugs" but really, they were not capturing anything, but instead, they were actually helping arm and supply people of South and Central America and Mexico. They would arm and supply these people with drugs and weapons, and would benefit from big time from the money take they would receive from the cartels. This is where DEA agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena comes in. Camarena was the of the highest profiled fighters against the cartels and drug trafficking in South and Central America and Mexico. So in turn he was ruining business for the CIA because he was battling the CIA's hand in receiving huge pay days from supplying and arming drugs and weapons. Former CIA agents claim that they killed Camarena and blamed it on the cartel leader of Guadalajara, but in reality the CIA killed Camarena because he was ruining business for them.
